Versatility Tool Works & MGF Company is a member of METALS HUB, a Chicago Area organization supported by Cook County and the Southland Development Authority. Harry Holtz (Director of Metal Hub) matches fabricators to business needs. He arranged a meeting with VTW (Ed Friemuth, Owner) and Mike Mayer (EV Hover, CEO). After some preliminary design and concept discussion, Versatility was selected by EV HOVER.

EV Hover created a wall-mounted Cable Management System with an easy-to-install extension arm for keeping EV (electric vehicle) charging cables safely overhead and organized. With diverse manufacturing capabilities, engineering support, and the exclusive Q-Step Customer Process, VTW successfully met product requirements, costs, and delivery targets in just three months.

VTW improved design, fabricated prototypes, tested, and produced a final product. In addition to lowering costs, VTW sourced materials, established assembly cells, and completed manufacturing, packaging, and fulfillment.

EV Hover, Versatility Tool Works, and Metals HUB worked to make this great idea an excellent product at the forefront of the EV market. The EZ Hover success results from the hard work and dedication of all three organizations and staff working together.
